Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid California driver’s license
- clean driving record
- ability to lift, carry or push up to 75 pounds
- ability to communicate effectively
- ability to pass medical examination and drug/alcohol screening
- legal eligibility to work in the United States

- experience with passenger assistance and customer service
- knowledge of fixed-route and demand response transit systems
- ability to perform minor vehicle maintenance

- physical ability to assist elderly and disabled passengers
Job Duties
- Drive a motor coach on fixed-route or demand response systems transporting the public including elderly and disabled
- select effective routes
- meet scheduled departure and arrival times
- provide for passenger comfort and safety including fastening safety belts
- perform small errands such as carrying packages and opening and locking doors
- assist passengers with route and transfer information
- inspect motor coach prior to operation
- fuel motor coach daily
- operate lift equipment as needed
- operate a mobile radio
- maintain vehicle cleanliness and report mechanical defects
- keep necessary records and reports
- perform minor vehicle maintenance
- receive and dispatch calls for service
- react appropriately to passengers with disabilities
- assist dispatcher with paperwork
- perform related work as required
