Job Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21 with a clean, current DMV driving record
  • Ability to pass state-mandated physical performance tests
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work variable hours, shifts, and locations
  • Ability to make basic arithmetic calculations and complete required forms
  • Willingness to complete OCTA's Student Coach Operator Training Program
  • California Commercial Driver License (Class A or B) with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain

Job Duties

  • Safely operate a motor coach and adhere to route schedules
  • Provide excellent customer service including assisting passengers and those with disabilities
  • Collect fares, issue transfers, and make stop/transfer announcements
  • Follow all traffic laws and agency policies
  • Report accidents, incidents, and vehicle maintenance needs
  • Complete required forms and documentation accurately
