Job Requirements
- minimum age 21
- degree in culinary arts, nutrition, home economics (preferred)
- 2+ years of related experience or experience in sales, product demonstrations, or cooking in a professional environment
- completion or ability to complete H-E-B Wine selling certification
- completion or ability to complete TABC Certification
- ability to constantly stand, reach at waist, and grasp
- ability to occasionally sit, walk, reach overhead, shoulder, knee, floor, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, stair climb, ladder climb, pivot, twist, push/pull with arms, pinch, and perform fine motor movements
- ability to occasionally be exposed to cold & hot temperatures, loud noise, wet conditions
- ability to demonstrate capability to lift 60 lbs and manage more

Job Qualifications
- degree in culinary arts, nutrition, home economics (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience related to food and cooking or experience in sales, product demonstrations, or cooking in a professional environment
- completion or ability to complete H-E-B Wine selling certification or similar
- completion or ability to complete TABC Certification
- knowledge of or aptitude to learn H-E-B systems and processes
- advanced communication skills
- strong customer service skills
- merchandising skills
- skills in basic cooking techniques (grill, sauté, roast, fry, etc.)
- ability to read and interpret documents
- ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects
- ability and willingness to work flexible hours
Job Duties
- perform selling activation events in the Cooking Connection kitchen
- assist in development of recipes targeted to local Customers using key focus items
- engage Customers by creating food experiences through ingredient, beverage, and cooking technique knowledge
- follow customer service and hospitality model to connect and build loyalty
- conduct cooking method and recipe demonstrations
- maintain A+ standards at the Connections kitchen including cleanliness and stocking
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations and complete all required training
- contribute culinary insights and participate in cooking classes and wine education
- manage merchandising displays and update Customer signage
- develop relationships with Customers recalling dietary needs and preferences
