Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
One year of previous custodial experience
Must pass physical examination
Ability to lift, carry, stack and maneuver objects regularly weighing up to 50 lbs
Willingness and ability to use open lifts for window cleaning up to 25 feet
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license and operate college motor vehicles
Ability to work safely with caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise
Willingness to work indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions
Ability to work from a ladder or power lift up to 30 feet
Ability to work any of three shifts with two weeks notice for shift changes

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
One year of previous custodial experience
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues and community
Demonstrated commitment to college core values including respect, inclusion, sustainability, integrity, collaboration, humor, well-being, innovation, and quality
English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency preferred
Demonstrated multicultural competence preferred

Job Duties

Clean and sanitize areas in accordance with required cleaning methods
Assist in shoveling sidewalks and clearing snow and other seasonal custodial care around campus buildings
Take classes offered for custodial duties
Observe safety standards and practices
Demonstrate enthusiasm, loyalty, maturity, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with co-workers and the public
Report all damage in assigned area to Lead Custodian
Report damage of exterior campus facilities and equipment to Custodial Superintendent
Participate in achieving departmental and college goals and objectives
Perform other related duties as assigned
