Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five years supervisory or managerial experience
  • At least three years experience in supportive housing or affordable housing management
  • Experience working with supportive housing tenant populations
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with cloud-based payroll platforms such as Paycom
  • Ability to walk building and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Compliance with health, fire, and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Five years work experience as a supervisor or manager
  • Three years working in supportive housing model, shelter, tax credit or affordable housing
  • Three years experience working with supportive housing tenant population and knowledge of related rules and regulations
  • Well-organized with excellent time management and communication skills
  • Customer-focused and bottom-line oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with social services settings
  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing, and computer skills
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Familiar with facility inspections and government/funder requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Job Duties

  • Oversee the physical condition, maintenance, and security of the building
  • Oversee purchasing, work tickets, invoices, and contract services
  • Work with managing agent to ensure required permits and licenses are up to date
  • Ensure compliance with health, fire, and safety codes and timely handling of violations
  • Complete corrective action plans and associated documentation
  • Collaborate with Program Director on tenant admissions and ensure compliance with funding requirements
  • Perform certifications for Tax Credits, Section 8, and subsidies and conduct HQS inspections
  • Work with managing agent to process and pay invoices
  • Assist tenants and social service staff to ensure compliance with building rules and leases
  • Respond timely to building-related emergencies
  • Support lease signings, rent collection, arrears, reports, subsidies, payment plans, and legal proceedings
  • Supervise superintendent, maintenance, and front desk staff
  • Lead regular staff meetings and arrange staff training
  • Hire, evaluate, discipline, and terminate staff as needed
  • Oversee scheduling and payroll submission
  • Act as liaison to GRCC administration and program directors
  • Assist in developing building budgets and monitor expenses
  • Monitor data from agency and government sources and prepare responses
  • Create corrective action plans as needed
  • Perform other duties as required
