Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- two years of experience in custodial or related field
- ability to pass a secondary background check within 30 days of hire
- may be required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- may be required to maintain a valid telephone number
- ability to perform lifting and cleaning tasks
- ability to work overtime or alternate hours as necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- two years of experience in custodial or related field
- floor cleaning classes and certifications preferred
- ability to train employees in cleaning and related work
- knowledge of operating and maintaining custodial equipment
- ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Job Duties
- Participates in the performance of a variety of cleaning tasks performed in and around public buildings and structures
- trains and instructs custodial workers in proper methods and procedures of custodial work
- assists in loading, unloading, and moving supplies, equipment, and furniture
- assists in ordering and maintaining an inventory of various custodial equipment and supplies
- performs minor maintenance on equipment
- prepares and maintains necessary records and reports
- performs all duties of Building Maintenance Worker I
