Job Requirements
- minimum of one year of experience and/or education in custodial duties and/or minor maintenance and repair work
- possession of a valid driver’s license
- ability to acquire Class B Commercial Driver’s License with airbrakes within probationary period if assigned to the Airport
- ability to obtain National Fire Protection Association 10 certification within probationary period if assigned to Public Works
- eligibility to work in the United States
- willingness to undergo pre-employment drug testing
- ability to perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work
Job Qualifications
- one year of experience and/or education in custodial duties and/or minor building maintenance
- valid driver’s license
- ability to obtain Class B Commercial Driver’s License with airbrakes if assigned to the Airport
- ability to obtain NFPA 10 certification if assigned to Public Works
- knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques
- good communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- perform custodial duties such as cleaning and maintaining city buildings
- conduct minor maintenance and repair work on building premises
- ensure safety and functionality of property by inspecting and addressing maintenance needs
- operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- respond to repair requests and emergencies promptly
- maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- comply with safety regulations and city policies
