Job Duties
- Perform light to heavy physical custodial activities such as dusting, vacuuming, stripping, buffing, waxing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and disinfecting
- Perform routine building and facilities maintenance duties, including changing lightbulbs, adjusting or replacing fixtures, and resetting machinery or environmental systems
- Remove snow, debris, or garbage from grounds and walkways
- salt and sand when needed
- mow, cut hedges, and trim grass
- Move beds, furniture, equipment, partitions, materials, or supplies manually or with hand trucks
- Perform condition checks and maintenance of cleaning tools and equipment
- Apply appropriate solvents, chemicals, and disinfectants
- remove and dispose of contaminated and non-contaminated waste according to prescribed health and safety standards
- Lead and mentor individuals or crews to ensure cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed on schedule
- Inspect and review work quality, recommend personnel actions or changes to standard operational procedures
- Interact with employees, residents, patients, or contractors
- investigate complaints and take corrective actions
- Complete daily activity reports and maintain inventory supplies
