Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Must be able to perform manual labor including lifting, standing, and moving items
- Ability to operate facility equipment after training
- Effective communication skills
- Reliable transportation to work onsite
- Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
- Ability to follow safety protocols
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience working with equipment used in facility maintenance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment
- One or more years experience in a similar position in a large facility preferred
- Positive, professional interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Ability to follow multi-step directions
- Ability to complete tasks accurately and independently or as part of a team
- Ability to learn and adhere to safe work practices and OSHA standards
- Flexibility to work a variable event-driven schedule including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
Job Duties
- Set-up and teardown of events including staging, tables, chairs, pipe-and-drape, skirting and other event items as required
- Work individually and as a team to complete projects and tasks contributing to a professional, teamwork atmosphere
- Clean and disinfect facilities
- Complete room sets accurately and timely
- Handle and set folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery poles, drapes and skirting
- Use various equipment safely such as mops, brooms, shovels, scrapers, buffers, rider sweepers, scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, snow removal equipment
- Use chemicals effectively and safely according to training and OSHA standards
- Provide excellent guest service to internal and external clients and guests
- Work onsite, maintain excellent attendance, and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
