Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in event or facility support roles
  • ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
  • strong attention to detail
  • reliable transportation to on-site location
  • ability to work varied shifts including nights and weekends
  • adherence to safety guidelines and protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working with cleaning and maintenance equipment
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment with large crowds
  • one or more years' experience in a similar position in a large facility preferred
  • positive, professional interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to follow multi-step directions provided by a team leader
  • ability to complete tasks accurately both independently and as part of a team
  • ability to learn and apply safe work practices in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards
  • flexibility to work an event-driven schedule including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts

Job Duties

  • Set-up and teardown of events including staging, tables, chairs, pipe-and-drape, skirting and other event items as required
  • work individually and as a team to complete projects and tasks contributing to a professional teamwork atmosphere
  • clean and disinfect facilities
  • complete room sets accurately and timely
  • handle and set folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery poles, drapes and skirting
  • safely use various equipment including mops, brooms, shovels, scrapers, buffers, rider sweepers, scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, snow removal equipment
  • effectively and safely use chemicals as trained and directed
  • provide excellent guest service to internal and external clients and guests
  • maintain excellent attendance and contribute to a safe and healthy work environment
