Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent
  • Experience in a supervisory sous chef or similar culinary leadership role
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation requirements for the State of Colorado
  • Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management
  • Proficient in computer and POS systems including MS Office
  • Flexible availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass required food handling and sanitation tests
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to manage conflict and maintain professionalism

  • Ability to gather information for enhancing food preparation services

  • Familiarity with state health and sanitation requirements
  • Proficiency with computer and POS systems including MS Office
  • Strong supervisory and self-discipline skills
  • Knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
  • Availability for flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass food handling and sanitation test
  • Understanding of measurements of liquids, weights and temperatures

Job Duties

  • Propose menus and recipes
  • Systemize food production to maximize efficiency and consistency
  • Enforce purchasing specifications, storeroom requisition systems, product storage requirements, standardization recipes and waste control procedures
  • Assist Executive Chef in recruiting, managing and disciplining kitchen personnel
  • Train kitchen personnel in food production principles and practices and ensure that all recipes and food production practices are followed
  • Assist Executive Chef in scheduling kitchen employees in conjunction with business forecasts and predetermined budget
  • Train service personnel regarding food preparation, ingredients, nutritional values and special dietary requests
