Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience specifically in takeout order management or hosting in a casual dining setting
  • Familiarity with Buca's menu and operational procedures
  • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse customer base
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively during busy periods
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests promptly and courteously upon arrival, managing the host stand with professionalism
  • Manage takeout orders by accurately processing customer requests, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring timely order preparation and pickup
  • Maintain clear communication with both customers and team members to address questions, special requests, and resolve any issues efficiently
  • Organize seating arrangements to optimize dining room flow and accommodate guest preferences while adhering to safety and capacity guidelines
  • Keep the host area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials to support smooth operations throughout the shift
