Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • must have attention to detail, meet deadlines and demonstrate strong organization and presentation skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree preferred
  • sales experience in hospitality or related field

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
  • work collectively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • support events and groups held at the hotel
  • answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to exceed traditional role expectations
  • collaborate with all team members to foster a positive workplace and welcoming guest environment
  • meet or exceed predetermined booking goals for guest room revenue
  • manage budgeted costs and revenues on a monthly basis
  • promptly handle inquiry calls and monitor paperwork flow for group confirmations
  • adapt to new market strategies and demands
  • compile lists of prospective clients and make in-person sales calls regularly
  • entertain potential clients on site
  • utilize reports during sales visits
  • monitor competitors’ pricing, service levels, and group activities
  • evaluate business profitability using reports and management guidance
  • prepare accurate sales contracts and group resumes
  • follow up on room night pick up, rooming lists, and cut-off dates
  • solicit repeat business and participate in RFP processes
  • meet and greet clients upon arrival and visit daily while clients are in-house
  • document group information including billing and VIP arrangements
  • develop new business accounts and maintain third-party group booking sites
  • coordinate monthly sales blitzes
  • assist with digital marketing, social media, and website initiatives to promote the hotel
