Job Requirements

- experience in medical transcription or similar setting preferred
- healthcare certification or licensure preferred
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain confidentiality
- proficiency in computer systems and data entry
- knowledge of HIPAA regulations

Job Duties
- commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates core values
- maintains up-to-date knowledge and ensures full compliance with physician reading privileges for all partnering facilities
- submits chart corrections and cancels or modifies orders as needed
- proactively detects and analyzes order barriers including poor-quality images and incomplete paperwork
- serves as the primary contact for multiple external entities to coordinate study overreads
- receives external testing orders and transcribes them into EPIC using external order entry workflow
- assigns daily external studies to the reading physicians
- scans study paperwork to the external reading palettes
- performs order corrections and reassigns studies for new signatures
- responds to urgent and emergent situations and documents as necessary
- complies with HIPAA and maintains confidentiality
- maintains professional growth through seminars and workshops
- participates in meetings, committees and department projects
- performs other related duties as assigned
