Job Requirements
- Minimum age 21
- one plus years of experience as an H-E-B Selling Demo Specialist or comparable experience
- wine certification or similar experience
- basic cooking certification or similar experience
- completion of or ability to complete TABC Certification
- advanced knowledge of H-E-B systems and processes
- strong knowledge of OSHA guidelines preferred
- expert customer service skills
- advanced communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- advanced merchandising skills
- ability to demonstrate formal or informal leadership
- ability to communicate product ingredients to customers with allergy or dietary concerns
- ability to safely cook and follow food safety guidelines
- ability to read and interpret documents
- ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between projects
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- passion for customer service and hospitality
- ability to constantly stand, reach at waist, and grasp

Job Duties
- Serve as backup to Department Manager
- make recommendations on hiring and promotions
- train and develop Partners
- influence department work schedules
- assist Manager in setting goals
- ensure compliance with policies
- coordinate department activities in Manager’s absence
- communicate with Store Leaders and Department Managers
- review sales and reports
- prepare and communicate KPIs
- contribute to event planning
- perform backup and prep duties
- follow customer service model
- participate in store events
- engage customers with product knowledge and samples
- review educational materials
- maintain merchandising and signage standards
- assist event space planning
- prepare and execute events
- provide excellent customer service
- offer product use advice
- execute demo events
- use suggestive selling to drive sales
- maintain relationships with department experts
- ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- attend food safety trainings
- maintain equipment and protective gear
