Job Requirements
- must possess and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License
- must be 18 years or older
- must pass a satisfactory background check
- must maintain a satisfactory driving record
- ability to lift 50-75 pounds
- ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- must wear provided uniform
- must be available Monday-Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- ability to respond to work-related communications on cell phone during work hours
Job Qualifications
- ability to clean various types of vehicles and related equipment
- skill in understanding basic oral and written instructions in English
- ability to speak English on one-to-one basis using appropriate vocabulary
- ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- ability to use safe approved methods in completing tasks
- skill in checking vehicle fluid levels (preferred)
- ability to complete forms and reports accurately and moderately quickly
- skill in operating a filter crusher and oil dispensers (preferred)
- ability to fuel vehicles with various fuel types (preferred)
- ability to lift objects weighing 50-75 pounds and perform physical activities including standing, climbing, stooping, pushing, pulling, and crouching
- ability to wear a provided uniform
- ability to use work cell phone for responding to calls, texts, emails, and chats during work hours
Job Duties
- perform general lot attendant duties including upkeep of cleanliness of fleet yard lot, fleet parking garage, BruinCar/Motorpool stalls
- inspect and report vehicle condition
- conduct fleet and motorpool lot checks
- retrieve, fuel, wash and vacuum campus vehicles and serviced vehicles
- perform key/keybox/key fob battery inspection and upkeep
- assist campus customers with fueling services and BruinCar/Motorpool keybox support
- provide lost and found support
- dispatch and retrieve fuel cards
- check all fluid levels on BruinCar/Motorpool vehicles
- complete maintenance service request forms and document repairs on work orders
- coordinate off-site vehicle washing and delivery/pick-up of vehicles for repairs
- pick up vehicle parts as required
- maintain clean and professional appearance of fleet yard and vehicle storage areas
- work in various weather conditions and schedules
