Job Requirements
- Physical ability to handle a food server's tray up to 35 pounds
- able to move throughout restaurant or venue for entire shift
- able to work in environment with loud music and crowds
- able to stand for entire shift
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- valid food worker or health card required
- valid alcohol awareness card required
- previous experience in customer service, food service, or restaurant industry preferred
- ability to build rapport with guests
- ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- basic math and reading skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to learn menu, preparation procedures and prices
- ability to work closely and efficiently with others
- previous experience in a high-volume restaurant
- flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- adherence to all safety policies
Job Duties
- Responsible for all stages of food and beverage service in the restaurant, bowling area, bar or other areas throughout the venue
- maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the dining or service area to meet departmental standards
- greet and make all guests feel welcome
- respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
- ensure the guest has an enjoyable experience
- possess in-depth knowledge of all menu items and specials, including ingredients, preparation methods, etc
- ensure appropriate utensils and condiments are present for the meal being served
- check all tables to ascertain guest needs and remain attentive
- ensure all phases of the meal are carried out appropriately from seating to departure
- pay attention to special requests and communicate details to kitchen and management
- obtain food and drink orders and make appropriate suggestions
- collect and process payment
- proficient use of POS system to input orders accurately and efficiently
- communicate any guest concerns to management timely
- comply with health code and alcohol regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
- work as part of a team to provide the best guest experience
