Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Ability to lift and handle at least 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours continuously
  • Strong communication skills to interact with supervisors, employees, vendors, and suppliers
  • Ability to taste and distinguish between different flavors and sensory characteristics
  • Willingness to undergo a background check

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Reliable and punctual team player
  • Experience in a full service restaurant
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, and temperatures

Job Duties

  • Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications using high-temperature broilers
  • Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance
