Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Ability to lift and handle at least 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and exert mobility for up to four hours continuously
- Strong communication skills to interact with supervisors, employees, vendors, and suppliers
- Ability to taste and distinguish between different flavors and sensory characteristics
- Willingness to undergo a background check
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Reliable and punctual team player
- Experience in a full service restaurant
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, and temperatures
Job Duties
- Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications using high-temperature broilers
- Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Assist with inventory management and equipment maintenance
