Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of broiler or grill experience
  • ability to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies and paper goods of at least 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to four hours continuously
  • effective communication and attentive listening skills
  • ability to distinguish flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, smell, odors and scents for food and beverage products

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
  • ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • reliable, punctual, and a true team player

Job Duties

  • Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications (rare to well-done)
  • ensure all food is prepared to Ruth’s Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
  • work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
  • follow all food safety and sanitation standards
