Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of broiler or grill experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for up to four hours continuously
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 100 pounds
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to taste and discern flavors and odors

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
  • Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
  • Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
  • Experience in full service restaurant
  • Ability to taste and distinguish between flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel, and smells

Job Duties

  • Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications using high-temperature broilers
  • Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
