Job Requirements
- Experience in full service restaurant
- Must be able to lift, handle, carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 50 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to supervisors, other employees, vendors, suppliers and other business representatives
- Must be able to taste - to be able to distinguish between and among flavors, spices, temperatures, mouth feel and smell - to distinguish between and among odors and scents as to their appeal and level of intensity for all food and beverage products
Job Qualifications
- At least 2 years of broiler or grill experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen
- Excellent understanding of meat temperatures, doneness, and steakhouse standards
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a hot, fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
Job Duties
- Masterfully cook and finish steaks to guest specifications using high-temperature broilers
- Ensure all food is prepared to Ruth's Chris quality standards and plating guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the broiler station and kitchen line
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely, consistent service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
