Job Requirements
- graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and experience
- one year of full-time experience in food preparation and use of kitchen equipment
- knowledge of kitchen safety practices
- ability to read weights and measures and measure ingredients
- ability to perform basic arithmetic operations
- knowledge of food preparation methods including sautéing, deep frying, grilling, and steaming
- ability to use knives and standard kitchen equipment properly
- ability and skill to prepare items to assure fresh products for continuous service
- occasional lifting of 26 to 75 pounds

Job Duties
- organize and prepare various food items at salad bars and food stations
- assist cooks by combining ingredients and portioning food
- serve food to customers in a timely manner
- maintain proper food handling and storage techniques
- ensure cleanliness and safety compliance in the kitchen area
- lift food supplies and equipment as needed
- work cooperatively within a diverse team and directly with customers
