Job Requirements
- Completion of a four-year college degree program or equivalent combination of education and experience
- One to three years of related experience in food service practices and customer relations
- Supervisory and managerial experience
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures
- Familiarity with food preparation equipment
- Accounting skills
- Availability to work variable hours including weekends
- Ability to work during emergency closures or modifications
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hotel restaurant and institutions management, business administration, dietetics, food systems and economics management, nutrition, or related field
- One to three years of progressively responsible experience in food service, customer relations, and supervisory roles
- Familiarity with food preparation equipment
- Strong knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Experience in banquet coordination and event planning is desirable
Job Duties
- Direct food service staff in preparation and service of food
- Monitor daily food production and presentation to ensure meal quality
- Implement training programs for support staff
- Receive and resolve customer concerns and suggestions
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation procedures
- Coordinate food service operations within the residence hall
- Assist in banquet coordination and special event setups
