Job Requirements
- graduation from high school or equivalent combination of education and experience
- one year of full time experience in food preparation and use of kitchen equipment
- knowledge of kitchen safety practices
- ability to read weights and measures and weigh and measure ingredients
- ability to perform basic math operations with whole numbers and fractions
- knowledge of various food preparation methods such as sauteing display cooking deep frying grilling and steaming
- ability to properly use knives and standard kitchen equipment
- skill to prepare items using proper methods and production timing for continuous service
- occasional lifting of 26 to 75 pounds

Job Duties
- organize prepare and supply various food items for salad bars cold and hot food stations and to order serve
- assist cooks by combining ingredients portioning and serving from prepared to order items
- maintain proper food handling and storage techniques to eliminate waste and spoilage
- work within a diverse workforce and directly with customers
- adhere to kitchen safety practices and use kitchen equipment properly
- ensure freshly cooked products are ready for continuous service
- occasionally lift weighed items between 26 to 75 pounds
