Job Requirements
- 1+ years of sales or food and beverage industry experience
- strong competitive and confident personality
- valid driver’s license
- registered and insured vehicle
- ability to lift and move heavy cases frequently
- physical ability to perform merchandising tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and stooping
- residency within Lexington, KY area
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food and beverage industry
- an intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
- valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive continuously to and from accounts
- ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
- ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale items
- bachelor’s degree preferred
Job Duties
- Sell our entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio
- 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts such as bars, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, and convenience stores
- Identify major accounts not currently selling Boston Beer Company products and develop plans to establish business with such accounts
- Improve merchandising conditions by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items to increase brand visibility
- Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
- Conduct waitstaff and bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
- Travel regularly within the market to service retailers and wholesalers
