Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent experience
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
  • Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • Must have vision acuity including depth perception and color vision with or without correction
  • Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions
  • Must be available for daytime shifts
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
  • Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, count and record figures
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, and request supplies orally or in writing

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
  • Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
  • Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
  • Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
  • Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call
  • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Prepares cooking surfaces and various breakfast foods including vegetables, sides, meats, and hot and cold items
  • Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
  • Prepares items for the upcoming shifts
  • Ensures personal understanding of all aspects of the kitchen
  • Practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is clean and neat
  • Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
  • Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time
  • Knowledgeable of menu items and able to take guest orders
