Job Requirements

High school or equivalent experience
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
Must be physically able to exert up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly
Must have vision acuity including depth perception and color vision with or without correction
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear and perform repetitive motions
Must be available for daytime shifts
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
Ability to perform simple addition and subtraction, count and record figures
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, and request supplies orally or in writing

Job Duties

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading or unloading heavy items, making note of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience
Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Prepares cooking surfaces and various breakfast foods including vegetables, sides, meats, and hot and cold items
Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
Prepares items for the upcoming shifts
Ensures personal understanding of all aspects of the kitchen
Practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures the work area is clean and neat
Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
Reports to work when scheduled and on time
Knowledgeable of menu items and able to take guest orders
