Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or cooking in a hospitality setting
  • ability to work early morning shifts
  • physical stamina to stand for extended periods
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • attention to detail and cleanliness
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • strong time management skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a breakfast cook or similar culinary role
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • basic culinary education or certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and plate hot breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, omelets, and other menu items
  • set up and stock the breakfast cooking station with all necessary ingredients and equipment
  • ensure food is prepared and served on time and in proper portions, appearance, and temperature
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
  • follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the hotel or brand
  • adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines including proper food handling and storage
  • monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor or kitchen lead
  • assist with receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food deliveries
  • support the breakfast attendant or other team members during peak service times
  • clean and close down the kitchen after breakfast service is complete
  • uphold hotel brand standards and guest service expectations
