Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food preparation or cooking in a hospitality setting
- ability to work early morning shifts
- physical stamina to stand for extended periods
- knowledge of health and safety regulations
- attention to detail and cleanliness
- ability to follow instructions and work independently
- strong time management skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a breakfast cook or similar culinary role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
- strong organizational skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- good communication and teamwork skills
- basic culinary education or certification preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate hot breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, omelets, and other menu items
- set up and stock the breakfast cooking station with all necessary ingredients and equipment
- ensure food is prepared and served on time and in proper portions, appearance, and temperature
- maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
- follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the hotel or brand
- adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines including proper food handling and storage
- monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to the supervisor or kitchen lead
- assist with receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food deliveries
- support the breakfast attendant or other team members during peak service times
- clean and close down the kitchen after breakfast service is complete
- uphold hotel brand standards and guest service expectations
