Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in hospitality food preparation is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to obtain a Kansas City Food Handler permit is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry between 20-50 lbs
  • Ability to perform repetitive arm-hand movements
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly during shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in hospitality food preparation is preferred
  • Ability to obtain a Kansas City Food Handler permit is preferred
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to make continuous and repetitive arm-hand movements i.e. slicing or chopping food
  • Ability to bend or stoop repeatedly during the shift i.e. removing items from stoves, ovens and refrigerators
  • Ability to lift and carry between 20-50 lbs over short distances

Job Duties

  • Stocking and maintaining designated station(s)
  • Preparing food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Inspecting all food sent from the kitchen visually
  • Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • Preparing requisitions for food and supplies, as needed
