Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting
  • Basic understanding of food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work early morning hours
  • Flexibility to complete additional duties as assigned

Job Duties

  • Sets up buffet before guests arrive
  • Displays food and beverages attractively and in an organized manner
  • Cleans buffet area by wiping, sweeping, and mopping
  • Prepares coffee and tea according to standards
  • Keeps perishables chilled or on ice
  • Checks and replenishes food and supplies as needed
  • Maintains cleanliness during service
  • Disposes of used plates, utensils, napkins, and cups
  • Removes and disposes of leftover food after shift
  • Cleans buffet area to established standards
  • Stocks and stores inventory properly
  • Keeps records of foods used
  • Orders additional food and supplies
  • Greets guests and accommodates special requests
  • Provides a professional image
  • Responds quickly to guest requests
  • Ensures guest satisfaction
  • Performs other duties as assigned
