Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on hotel demands
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled shift end time unless directed otherwise
  • Must clock in and out for breaks at the designated times on schedule
  • Must provide sufficient notice when calling out of a scheduled shift
  • Ability to stand or remain stationary for 3 to 4 hours at a time
  • Ability to operate computers and office machinery including 10-key data entry
  • Ability to lift and carry food and beverage boxes up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to inspect and observe details both at close and long range
  • Must read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and during their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names when possible to make them feel welcomed
  • Contribute to guest satisfaction scores through excellent service
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support all groups and events at the hotel
  • Use relevant technology appropriately for the role
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly service using approved greetings
  • Clean and sanitize breakfast room tables after each guest
  • Set up breakfast buffet area daily according to brand standards
  • Complete kitchen cleaning checklist after breakfast period
  • Follow food safety measures per local health codes and brand standards
  • Keep buffet area well stocked and clean until the end of breakfast
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, nametag, and maintain grooming standards
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Display a can-do attitude by stretching beyond traditional duties
  • Collaborate effectively to create a welcoming environment and positive workplace
