Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in restaurant banquet or hotel food and beverage preferred
  • ServSafe certification required
  • Ability to work weekends including Saturdays and Sundays
  • Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
  • Must maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred
  • Previous restaurant banquet or hotel food and beverage experience preferred
  • ServSafe training required
  • Ability to speak read write and comprehend English proficiently
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize organize and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations in restaurant or hotel environment
  • Ability to make decisions with general policies and procedures
  • Ability to engage guests and provide excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of safety and health regulations
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Direct day-to-day activities ensuring breakfast is prepared according to food handling regulations guidelines and brand standards
  • Ensure food is prepped and ready for breakfast start and replenished throughout breakfast hours
  • Maintain cleanliness during breakfast while attending to guests needs
  • Greet guests and engage with them providing coffee refill and memorable experience
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with department policies service procedures and standards
  • Forecast monitor control and report on costs to maximize profitability while ensuring adequate supplies and staff
  • Maintain inventory and assist with food orders
  • Assist with setup service and breakdown of banquet functions
  • Inspect kitchen prep and dining areas for cleanliness and proper setup
  • Establish par levels for supplies and complete requisitions
  • Maintain knowledge and proper use of equipment
  • Check storage areas for organization cleanliness and instruct staff to correct deficiencies
  • Adhere to safety and brand standards
  • Respond to guest requests and complaints timely and appropriately
  • Maintain professional image and dress
  • Follow company policies and communicate them to subordinates
  • Operate hotel in compliance with federal state and local laws including OSHA EEOC wage and hour and health codes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
