Job Requirements

  • Two years relevant experience as a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Supervisor or Specialist
  • Thorough knowledge of products, buying and inventory management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to follow directions and recipes
  • Ability to taste and evaluate all products to judge quality
  • Ability to communicate and work well with others as part of a team
  • Patience and enjoyment in mentoring people
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to learn proper use of all equipment used during food preparation and cleanup
  • Available for flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Perform duties related to the daily production of baked goods including accurate mixing, dividing, shaping, proofing, and baking to ensure consistency in daily production
  • Perform all duties related to packing and shipping while maintaining HACCP, FSMA and SSOP procedures and standards
  • Maintain quality and production standards and ensure production schedule is followed
  • Ensure accurate recording of mixing, shaping, and proofing/retarding temperature and time information
  • Interview, select, train, develop, and mentor team members to build and sustain a high performing team and minimize turnover
  • Manage inventory and maintain awareness of new products and regularly incorporate into overall product mix
  • Manage the inventory of ingredients for the bread team with the facility buyer and support positive supplier relationships
  • Establish and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with store and regional leadership
  • Follow and comply with established procedures including health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices ensuring team member compliance
  • Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner
