Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a restaurant kitchen
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Exceptional culinary skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in kitchen equipment and tools with a solid understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory control food costs and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations including supervising kitchen staff ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s high standards
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development including creating new dishes and refining existing ones
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to safety sanitation and food handling regulations
  • Train mentor and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a high level of performance and consistency
  • Monitor food costs and portion control to maintain profitability while ensuring quality
  • Participate in the planning and execution of special events and seasonal menu changes
  • Step in for the Head Chef as needed taking full responsibility for the kitchen in their absence
  • Maintain a clean organized and efficient kitchen environment
