Job Requirements

Be 18 years of age or older
Minimum of 1 year experience in professional bread baking
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as a team player
Excellent basic mathematical skills
Must display the ethical and professional standards set forth by Tartine
Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
Must have valid Food Handlers Certificate
Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds or more

Job Duties

Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Tartine
Demonstrate a basic understanding of bread, including components and fermentation
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment
Establish and maintain a positive, professional relationship with co-workers and customers
Mix dough, manage fermentation, scale and shape, and bake with deck oven experience
Complete duties on schedule
Maintain organized and clean workstations
Perform occasional small duties to aid other departments and support the restaurant as a whole
Assist in cleaning of production areas
