Job Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in professional bread baking
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent basic mathematical skills
  • Must display the ethical and professional standards set forth by Tartine
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • Must have valid Food Handlers Certificate
  • Able to reach bend stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds or more

Job Duties

  • Promote work and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Tartine
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of bread including components and fermentation
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment
  • Establish and maintain a positive professional relationship with co-workers and customers
  • Mix dough manage fermentation scale and shape and bake with deck oven experience
  • Complete duties on schedule
  • Maintain organized and clean workstations
