Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years experience in a similar culinary role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- One to two years experience and/or training preferred
- Knowledge of menu items, recipes, and ingredient functions
- Ability to learn new cooking techniques and menu developments
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain organization
- Strong communication skills for guest interaction
- Understanding of sanitation and health standards
Job Duties
- Demonstrates and shares a solid knowledge of the menu and ensures proper preparation of all food items to consistently meet standards
- Demonstrates knowledge of all menu items, recipes, and ingredients
- Quickly learns new recipes, cooking techniques, and menu rollouts
- Follows recipes to ensure consistency in food
- Accurately answers guests' and family members' questions regarding the menu
- Contributes to food cost management through attentive dating, labeling, and rotation of inventory
- Follows prep sheet to ensure proper amounts and limits waste
- Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, prices, preparation methods, cook time, major ingredients, quality standards, taste, the appearance of products, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and plate presentation
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of workstations and rectifies deficiencies throughout the shift
- Meets with Chefs to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes, and other pertinent information
- Maintains state sanitation and health regulations and company standards of operation
- Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work area
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
