Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in a high-end or luxury hospitality environment is preferred
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, gourmet coffees, and loose-leaf teas with an emphasis on technique and elegant presentation
  • Set up, maintain, and clear the daily to-go buffet
  • Ensure all items are presented beautifully and restocked as needed
  • Understand and articulate the daily pastry offerings from the Executive Pastry Chef
  • Make informed recommendations to guests
  • Warmly greet customers
  • Anticipate their needs
  • Respond to any questions or concerns with utmost professionalism
  • Clearly and vividly describe the coffee, tea, and pastry selections, including origin, preparation methods, and ingredients
  • Process customer payments accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization for the coffee bar and to-go buffet
  • Assist with daily inventory counts for coffee, tea, pastries, and other supplies
