Job Duties
- Perform as the San Jose Sharks mascot at all home games, appearances and team events
- responsible for costume upkeep, prop and costume creation
- keep accurate inventory of all mascot-related items and coordinate orders
- assist Event Presentation in creation, implementation and execution of in-game programming and activations
- engage fans through skits, dances, comedic moments and spontaneous interactions
- co-manage sourcing and scheduling of mascot appearances
- schedule mascot in-game fan visits
- create and reimagine programs and activations to drive revenue
- provide mascot appearance services for inter-departmental needs
- assist with AHL mascot program
- develop creative elements including video content, contests, sponsor opportunities and activations
- maintain and service company appearance vehicle
- assist with social media content creation
- uphold mascot brand guidelines
- follow direction for timing, cues and choreography
- represent team at community, sponsor, school and charity events
- collaborate with Corporate Partnerships and Community Relations for sponsor appearances
- serve as positive family-friendly brand ambassador
- assist Marketing Manager with community programs
- make independent decisions when evaluating options
- appear at internal organizational events
- support internal marketing, content and employee engagement initiatives
- participate in video/photo shoots and content creation
- perform other duties as assigned
