Job Requirements

  • Some high school education
  • Prefer some operations experience
  • Local or municipal food safety certifications such as Food Handler or ServSafe acquired at own expense
  • Embody Focus's mission, values, culture, and environment
  • Ability to consistently apply cash handling policy and procedures
  • Reliable and dependable attendance
  • Ability to perform all front of house duties
  • Understanding of proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals
  • Be a trusted leader and team builder

  • Ability to embrace change and continuous learning

Job Qualifications

  • Some high school education
  • Prefer some operations experience
  • Basic understanding of all operations practices and concepts including store opening and closing
  • Knowledge of cash handling policy and procedures
  • Knowledge of steam table operations, serving protocols, and menu
  • Ability to perform all front of house duties
  • Understanding of work and food safety requirements
  • Ability to learn basic cooking such as chow mein and rice
  • Ability to embrace change and continuous learning

Job Duties

  • Ensuring workability, intensity and integrity
  • Performing front of house responsibilities as directed by shift leader
  • Greeting guests, serving food, and handling payment at the cash register
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the store
  • Building emotional connection with guests through food, service and ambiance
  • Upholding high operations standards and managing the steam table
  • Following cash handling procedures and operating the POS system accurately
