Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or ged
  • at least one year to 24 months of customer service or cash handling experience
  • working knowledge of microsoft office products including outlook word and excel
  • ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with attention to detail
  • demonstrated ability to deliver consistently superior customer service
  • recent cash handling or previous teller experience preferred
  • knowledge of symitar system a plus
  • must consistently report to work on time as scheduled
  • flexibility to work out of any location at any time as business needs dictate

Job Duties

  • support the achievement of unit sales goals by identifying opportunities for the cross-selling of credit union products and services and referring members to the appropriate business partners
  • provide timely and courteous service to all branch members and assist them with financial transactions such as deposits withdrawals transfers sale or processing of negotiable instruments
  • process branch member transactions efficiently accurately and in a timely manner including servicing accounts closing accounts or completing related documentation
  • respond to member inquiries in person by telephone or by mail
  • resolve routine issues and direct complex issues to the appropriate management staff member
  • participate in all assigned employee development programs in support of the credit union's commitment to excellence in sales and service continuous improvement quality and teamwork
  • balance daily work
  • perform all operational activities in compliance with applicable laws regulations and credit union policies and procedures
  • perform routine office and clerical duties such as requisitioning supplies and maintaining accurate current files
  • maintain cash drawer in accordance with assigned cash limits and policy and procedures
  • consistently report to work on time as scheduled
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • be flexible to work out of any location at any time as business needs dictate
