Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- active driver’s license with clean driving history for minimum 3 years
- ability to pass DOT physical and drug and alcohol screening
- ability to lift heavy freight up to 50 pounds consistently
- demonstrated experience driving box or straight truck with a liftgate preferred
- ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
- proof of COVID-19 vaccination as required by location and mandates
- ability to operate non-commercial vehicle safely in diverse weather and road conditions
- strong customer service skills
- ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols
- dependable and reliable work record
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
- experience driving box or straight trucks with liftgate
- demonstrated reliability and dependability
- strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- ability to follow procedures closely
- familiarity with using technology such as hand-held scanners
- excellent driving record
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- ability to stand and walk for long periods
- strong teamwork and communication abilities
Job Duties
- Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail in company-owned vehicles
- operate hand-held scanning devices for accurate item tracking throughout transportation
- strictly adhere to operating policies, procedures, and scheduled routes
- present a professional image to clients and the public
- load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment
- demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
- conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- adapt to varying route assignments and collaborate effectively with teammates and clients
