Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • active driver’s license with clean driving history for minimum 3 years
  • ability to pass DOT physical and drug and alcohol screening
  • ability to lift heavy freight up to 50 pounds consistently
  • demonstrated experience driving box or straight truck with a liftgate preferred
  • ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods
  • proof of COVID-19 vaccination as required by location and mandates
  • ability to operate non-commercial vehicle safely in diverse weather and road conditions
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to follow detailed procedures and protocols
  • dependable and reliable work record

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience
  • experience driving box or straight trucks with liftgate
  • demonstrated reliability and dependability
  • strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • ability to follow procedures closely
  • familiarity with using technology such as hand-held scanners
  • excellent driving record
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • strong teamwork and communication abilities

Job Duties

  • Safely drive and transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, and interoffice mail in company-owned vehicles
  • operate hand-held scanning devices for accurate item tracking throughout transportation
  • strictly adhere to operating policies, procedures, and scheduled routes
  • present a professional image to clients and the public
  • load and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment
  • demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior
  • conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • adapt to varying route assignments and collaborate effectively with teammates and clients
