Job Requirements
- Associates degree preferably in accounting, business administration or a related field
- Three years of increasingly responsible experience in box office operations
- Availability to work shiftwork, weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background checks
- Ability to handle cash securely and accurately
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree preferably with an emphasis in accounting or business administration
- Three years of increasingly responsible experience in box office operations
- Experience with Ticketmaster systems
- Experience working a box office for a large event venue or facility
- Strong knowledge of ticketing system hardware
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to train and supervise staff
- Knowledge of cash handling policies and office management
Job Duties
- Edit and create new electronic event manifests and event masters (maps) for events
- Utilize appropriate software to manage ticket inventory and event information
- Coordinate daily cash requirements and maintain security of all monies received
- Supervise temporary/Box Office event staff and operate daily box offices
- Schedule and train temporary Box Office event staff on ticket sales and systems
- Sell tickets to the public in accordance with management policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by phone and in person, resolve patron complaints, and assist in seat relocations
- Authorize refunds, exchanges, and cancellations on purchased tickets
- Monitor event sales and maintain event histories
- Prepare daily sales reports, transaction journals, and deposit forms
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance to senior management
- Conduct audits to balance and verify accuracy of all revenue received
- Provide real-time event reports, drop counts, and information to management and promoters
- Perform related duties as required
