Job Duties

  • Organize and manage daily and nightly box office operations including will call, guest list, ticket sales, and ticket scanning
  • Assist and support box office staff in their job functions as needed
  • Ensure a positive and creative team environment within the department
  • Facilitate open communication with the box office manager, staff, and other venue departments
  • Exhibit proper inter-departmental communications and organization
  • Ensure complete and satisfactory ongoing staff training
  • Assist manager with staff evaluations including training, 90-day, and annual reviews
  • Provide positive team environment within the department
  • Assist in ensuring appropriate staffing levels
  • Help set staff development and performance goals and monitor progress
  • Recruitment and hiring staff adhering to venue guidelines
  • Promote and provide superior customer service in all guest interactions
  • Participate in all on-site venue meetings as needed
  • Ensure venue staff follows company cash handling policies and procedures
  • Balance and reconcile all seller cash drawers
  • Assist manager in reconciliation and accounting of all ticket sales
  • Assist manager in housing, distributing, and depositing venue cash weekly
  • Manage pricing initiatives including progressive, platinum, dynamic, flex pricing, and special ticket offers
  • Assist manager in scheduling all employee payroll prior to deadlines
  • Conduct band settlement on shows with split point deals or as required
  • Complete and distribute accurate daily ticket counts for agents and artists
  • Create, modify, and maintain inventory for ticketed events in a secure environment
  • Follow standards and processes for ticket types, ancillary events, and qualifiers
  • Monitor and maintain ticketing computers, software, and hardware functionality
  • Act as secondary representative for venue interactions with Ticketmaster
  • Ensure accurate and timely flow of event and venue information internally and to the public
  • Modify, maintain, and update all customer database files
  • Develop and maintain call center phone system, updating phone menus and event calendars
  • Interact with artists, record labels, management, and band tour accountants providing reports as necessary
  • Collaborate with Premium Seat Sales/VIP team on upsells and inventory management
  • Work with Operations/Guest Services on ADA ticketing and troubleshooting
  • Provide offsite venue coverage for night-of-show management as needed
  • Ensure venue compliance with ADA ticket laws
