Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience in accounting and customer service essential
  • Box office experience in a similar environment strongly preferred
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Ability to analyze data and figures
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial procedures
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule staff
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Knowledge of ticket selling and box office operations
  • Ability to count money and make change accurately
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Job Duties

  • Coordinates all event information between promoter, facility personnel, and ticket company in a timely manner
  • Works with event promoter and personnel to establish ticket pricing and seating configuration
  • Builds and modifies all computer ticket events and issues access codes to facility management
  • Coordinates house scale for all ticket events
  • Maintains communication with ticket company representatives for updates and revisions
  • Monitors daily ticket sales and communicates information to Director and promoter representative
  • Prepares cash bank and daily accurate inventory of tickets
  • Presents final box office statement for event settlement
  • Responds to customer complaints and service requests
  • Establishes files on each event including seats on hold and ticket inventory schedules
  • Supervises, instructs, and trains ticket sellers
  • Assists or sells tickets as needed
  • Opens and closes ticket window as required
  • Dispenses tickets, accepts payment, and makes change accurately
  • Maintains records of cash received, tickets sold, and change bank
  • Fills seat reservations and manages Will-Call window
  • Provides excellent customer service and responds promptly to customer needs
  • Answers questions regarding prices, seating, and events
  • Prepares daily business transaction reports
  • Makes bank deposits
  • Maintains cash drawers and prepares deposits for concession events
  • Assists with patron services during events
  • Delivers service on the Personal Seat License (PSL) program
  • Performs other duties as assigned
