Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in ticketing or box office administration preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and ticketing software
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to train and oversee staff
  • Must be able to work 25 to 35 hours per week

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with computerized ticketing systems or box office operations preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in customer service roles
  • Ability to train and lead staff
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work part-time flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Familiarity with theatre operations or event management is a plus

Job Duties

  • Builds and maintains ticketing information within the box office including the computerized ticketing system creation of ticketed and non-ticketed performances fees source codes discounts and promotional offers hold codes and other system functionalities as necessary
  • Serves as a liaison with renters and assists in determining Box Office services to be provided by taking a lead role with communications and meetings
  • Assists with specialized ticketing needs including preparation and distribution of complimentary and house tickets
  • Lead trainer for end-user staff schedules and conducts ongoing training and development of box office personnel and enforces all theatre policies and service standards
  • Assists box office personnel including solving patron problems and special needs in a courteous and diplomatic way
  • Provides a positive team environment within the department to ensure excellent service standards and to maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Processes season ticket renewals and new accounts
  • Coordinates subscription process including renewals processing upgrades printing and mailing subscription ticket packets with Ticket Services Management
  • Acts as Box Office Event Supervisor during events and performances as assigned responsible for all aspects of a specific performance or event from pre-show setup through will call resolving customer service issues and final performance reconciliation
  • Provides backup and assists with telephone and window sales as needed
  • Adheres to City and departmental policies and procedures performs related work duties as assigned
