Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in accounting and customer service
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience with ProVenue Ticketing system is a plus
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial procedures including record keeping and reconciliation
  • Ability to analyze data and figures
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule staff
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ticket selling and box office operations
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have professional attitude and appearance
  • Tact, diplomacy, and discretion required

Job Duties

  • Directs and oversees daily box office operations as outlined in the Box Office Manual
  • Coordinates all ticketing information for facility personnel
  • Works with event promoters to establish ticket pricing and seating configurations
  • Gathers necessary ticketing setup information and completes ticketing build sheets
  • Manages inventory holds per promoter specifications
  • Monitors daily ticket sales and communicates updates to Director and promoters
  • Prepares final box office statements and audits for the Finance Department
  • Establishes event files for seat holds, voucher tracking, and ticket inventory
  • Coordinates promoter requests for ticketing initiatives such as Groupon and Vet Tix
  • Supervises part-time box office staff and trains ticket sellers on proper procedures
  • Opens and closes the box office on event days, prepares cash banks and deposits
  • Maintains accurate records of cash received, tickets sold, and change banks
  • Prepares and submits daily reports of business transactions
  • Provides customer service and sells tickets as needed
  • Assists Theatre Director with hospitality, volunteer management, and operations
  • Supports marketing efforts including social media content and mass email marketing
  • Assists with promotional and housekeeping coordination
  • Recruits, onboards, trains, and schedules volunteers
  • Works at all Legends Global venues in Wichita and Andover as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Theatre Director
