Job Requirements

  • minimum CMS Level 1 certification

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum CMS Level 1 Certification
  • fine dining or upscale steakhouse experience strongly preferred
  • strong understanding of classic wine regions, varietals, and food pairings
  • confident communicator with a calm, guest-first approach
  • ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
  • professional demeanor, reliability, and attention to detail
  • 3-4 years of fine dining leadership experience
  • thorough knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions
  • cleanliness and organizational skills
  • extensive food and wine knowledge
  • must be minimum age to serve alcohol
  • high school or equivalent education
  • strong dedication to learning and motivation to progress in fine dining
  • excellent basic math skills and ability to operate POS and Microsoft systems
  • familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • must be impeccably groomed and maintain good hygiene
  • responsive to constructive feedback
  • MS Level 2 certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Motivate and mentor staff's wine knowledge
  • inspire and delight guests with wine service
  • resolve guest issues
  • make menu and wine suggestions
  • deliver food and drinks to tables
  • describe dishes to guests
  • recommend wine selections
  • oversee and assist front of house service staff
  • monitor guest satisfaction
  • maintain smooth flow of service
  • manage wine cellar inventory
  • conduct staff wine training
  • participate in pre-shift meetings
  • communicate with management on VIP procedures and special requests
  • liaise with servers to ensure guest needs are met
  • assist chef in expediting food
  • maintain cleanliness and safety in dining areas
  • comply with health, safety, and labor regulations
  • collaborate with accounting and purchasing on inventory
  • conduct monthly inventory counts
  • log and tag wine bottles
  • maintain organized wine inventory records
