Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Two years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage kitchen operations and budgets

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Develops new culinary applications and creative ideas for the specialty restaurant
  • Supervises specialty restaurant kitchen shift operations ensuring policy compliance
  • Maintains food preparation, handling, and storage standards
  • Plans and manages food quantities and plating requirements
  • Assists in developing daily and seasonal menu items
  • Supervises and coordinates cooks and food preparation workers
  • Leads the kitchen team by example and manages day-to-day kitchen operations
