Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Strong reading and mathematical skills
- Ability to adapt easily to change
- Ability to troubleshoot and suggest corrective actions
- Familiarity with applicable codes for pressure vessels and high-pressure steam operations
- Knowledge of refrigeration technology
- Ability to operate material management equipment
- Ability to maintain safety awareness and adhere to safety policies
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, crouch, kneel, and lift occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform duties in hazardous environments following safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent with strong reading and mathematical skills
- College coursework or technical school training in science, electrical, mechanical, or instrumentation field preferred
- Ability to adapt easily to change and demonstrate flexibility and cooperation
- Ability to troubleshoot and suggest corrective actions
- Familiar with applicable codes and practices for pressure vessels and high-pressure steam operations
- Knowledge of refrigeration technology
- Good organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient understanding of chemistry and biological requirements for wastewater treatment
- Ability to operate material management equipment
Job Duties
- Perform boiler operations including fire tube and water tube boilers and air compressor operations and cooling tower system operations
- Monitor water treatment systems including softened water and mixed bed deionized water systems
- Perform chiller operations to ensure supply to production
- Operate the site’s industrial wastewater treatment system in compliance with permits
- Manage and maintain compliance of permits and safety requirements
- Monitor and operate site’s fire system
- Maintain security awareness and be the first point of contact for emergencies
- Identify, correct, and report hazards
- Enter confined spaces for inspections and repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned
