Job Requirements
- Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Ability to serve alcohol if required
- Tuberculosis clearance where applicable
- State food handler's card where applicable
- Fluent in English
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk constantly
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist frequently
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment
- Ability to operate trash compactor
- Available to work 35 hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays with availability for at least two weekend shifts
Job Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards
- Customer relations and etiquette skills
- Ability to serve alcohol if licensed
- Tuberculosis clearance and food handler certification as required by state
- Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication
- Ability to promote and remember menu items
- Organizational skills
- Clean and neat work habits
Job Duties
- Complies with all company policies and procedures
- Maintains kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Ensures proper sanitation of kitchen areas
- Supports restaurant interior and exterior cleanliness
- Delivers excellent customer service and handles complaints professionally
- Attends briefings and staff meetings
- Learns and operates all back-of-house stations including prep, sushi, fryer, and dishwasher
- Prepares food according to company recipes and standards
- Maintains food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Rotates food products using FIFO method
- Completes daily opening, mid, and closing duties
- Assists with delivery storage and inventory
- Follows safe stock levels
- Communicates operational issues to management
- Performs additional duties as assigned
